The establishment of a Super-speciality Hospital with over 20 departments and an associated world class Medical College with annual intake of 150 students for MBBS and mentor at least 20 research scholars every year for deserving candidates was a dream of CA A Raghavendra Rao, President of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore, and the Vice-President Mr Srinivas Rao.

Srinivas Institute of Dental Science, one of the Prestigious Institutions of A Shama Rao Foundation Education Trust, Mangalore was started in the year 2012-2013 with under graduate course in dentistry with the Annual intake of 100 students. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (Karnataka) and approved by Dental Council of India, New Delhi and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India as per the notification.
